Girls' Weekend

So I'm a bit delayed in this post, but better late than never right?

After all of my recruitment traveling for work, I was in need of a girls' weekend. So Jess and I headed to Philadelphia for a weekend. It was just what I needed - a lot of girl talk, some shopping, a bit of adventure and a whole lot of fun!

Friday night, we walked around the city, just talking and catching up. We headed down to Penn's Landing for dinner,

And ice skating. This was the adventure of the weekend. All I kept thinking was, I'm going to leave this city with a cast on my leg. Luckily, it wasn't that bad, and I only took Jess out once with a fall. :) She is a true friend, letting grip onto her arm for dear life most of the evening. Thanks Jess!

I did go around the rink a few times without an assistance. Here's the proof:

Here's the picture to prove that we were both on the ice.

It was a great way to start the weekend!

Saturday we checked out Reading Terminal Market before heading to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The rest of the day was spent shopping and exploring the city. That night we went to Maggiano's for dinner. I couldn't have asked for a better evening.......wine, italian food, some free wine, being with my best friend, and surrounded by very entertaining people including an awesome bartender!

I think we need to plan a weekend trip at least once a year....what do you say Jess?
