Come On In

Come on in for a tour of our new house. I took pictures of most of the rooms before the housewarming party figuring it was the cleanest the house would be for a while. Boy was I right. If only you all saw it at the moment. :) I really need some cleaning fairies to come in and help me out.

Here is the front of the house. We expanded the one flower bed to come up to the walkway. I think it turned out really nice.

I'm sure you're probably sick of seeing the living room but here are a few more pictures.

I also changed the dining room around a little bit. Here it is looking from the living room.

I know I showed pictures of our bedroom when I first painted but here it is with the curtains up and some pictures finally hung.

Here is my office where all of this blog magic happens. I need to insert some more pizazz to this room. Any suggestions?

Here is the basement bathroom. I took down the weird mirror tiles that were up and put these round mirrors in their place. I still don't think I'm in love with it but it will work for now.

(some pretty flowers in the bathroom for the party)

I know I showed pictures of this room already too but I finally got a mirror hung and did some more decorating.

So there you have it. Our house the way it currently is. Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Slacker

Yes, I am referring to myself as a slacker in the title of this post. I don't know where the last three weeks went.  Between tilling the garden, planting the garden, a weekend trip to Cape May it has been a bit crazy I suppose. Yes we finally got the garden planted the weekend after our housewarming party. I'll post pictures soon. Right now there isn't much to see. :)

Last weekend I headed to Cape May for a girl's weekend with Grandma, Aunt Annette and Grandma's friend Gloria. It was quite the weekend. Sadly I didn't take a photos. (Shame on me.) Even though we went there many years while I was growing up we decided to act like tourists and do some touristy things. We went shopping of course, and had high tea at the Carriage House. They were setting up for a wedding so that was a lot of fun to watch. Especially since the reservation before ours came an hour late, so needless to say we had to wait. But it was really good and totally worth the wait. I would highly recommend it if you find yourself visiting Cape May. Saturday night we took a trolley ride and heard about some of the many ghosts that are said to haunt the town. We also took a tour of the oldest B&B in America. Overall it was a great weekend and I really enjoyed the time with Aunt Annette and Grandma.

So I'm sure you're waiting to see pictures of party since in my last post I said I would post them soon. So without further ado, pictures from the housewarming party. Hopefully they are self explanatory!

I need to send a very special thank you to our realtor Bonnie for putting this together for us. I have heard nothing but great comments about the party. If you were there I really hope you had a great time. I know Michael and I did!

Please Accept my Apology

Sorry I've been MIA the last few weeks. It has been a bit hectic. I will try to catch up with all the details this weekend.

Mike and I were home in Pennsylvania for John's surgery two weeks ago. Thank you for all your prayers and support. Everything went really well with the surgery and he is now home recovering.

Last weekend was our housewarming party. I'm working on putting a post together to share all the details. I have to thank my Mom for the pictures she captured during the party. I have a ton of pictures from before the party but the day went by so fast I didn't even think of picking up our camera. Come back later this weekend and look for them! :)

Happy Friday Everyone!
